RHC Kids Memory Verse | 1 Thess 5:17
This week, we are encouraging our children the powerful reminder of how we can stay connected to God each day.
Prayer should be part of our moment-by-moment daily lives. We can talk to God anytime, anywhere, and in every circumstance. Sometimes I choose to talk to God out loud throughout my day. It helps me captivate my spiraling thoughts in that moment. My children also benefit because they hear me turn to him in all circumstances. I do not have to carve out a perfect moment but rather every moment is perfect when you are speaking to God.
Younger Children:
Never stop praying. —1 Thessalonians 5:17
Older Children:
Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. —1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
As you practice these verses together at home, encourage your children to look for opportunities throughout the day to simply talk with God out loud. At bedtime, in the car, around the dinner table, or during a difficult moment—remind them that God is always near and always listening.
