After years of rebellion against God, culminating in being an arguing atheist living in Seattle, I was saved by our Lord in my early 40’s when I was working as a business executive in the tech industry. Trish and I felt a call to pastoral ministry, so we moved back to Denver so I could attend Denver Seminary and she went to work in ministry for K-LOVE Radio. After receiving my M.Div at Denver Seminary, I was called to be the Senior Pastor of Redemption Hills Church. Serving the people of God, preaching God’s word, loving Jesus, glorifying God, and being with Trish are the loves of my life.

I grew up in Colorado, having spent most of my time on my grandparent’s ranch and farm outside of Yuma and attending school in Greeley. I met my only love, Trish, after having graduated from college and moving to Denver to teach high school social studies. After getting married, Trish and I moved to San Diego where I attended business school and Trish worked as an aerospace engineer. Trish and I enjoy the outdoors and I like spending time reading, writing, riding my bike, playing golf, and spending time with those in need to hear the Good News.

My passion to equip and mobilize every day disciple-makers is evidenced in multiple church plants, numerous mission experiences, and evangelism/discipleship trainings from coast to coast across the United States. I’m a third-generation pastor originally from central Illinois. I’ve served as a pastor in local churches in various capacities since 1998.

I’m a third-generation pastor originally from central Illinois. I’ve served as a pastor in local churches in various capacities since 1998.
My wife Jody and I moved to Colorado along with my sons Seth, Matthew, and Samuel in 2014. The years following have included countless hours of baseball and tennis (along with some hockey and football) and many, many miles of hiking and skiing with the boys. These active years have been energized by hundreds of pounds of home-roasted coffee that Jody and I enjoy together every morning possible. We welcomed our first daughter-in-law into the family in 2024.
