Pharaoh, pleased by the arrival of Joseph’s brothers, instructed Joseph to provide them with wagons and provisions to bring their father and households to Egypt, promising them the best of the land. Joseph followed Pharaoh’s command, generously equipping his brothers with supplies, clothes, and silver, and they returned to Canaan, where their father Jacob, initially skeptical, was overjoyed to learn Joseph was alive and agreed to go see him.
